Windows Personal Detective is a rogue anti-spyware program that is promoted via Trojans, compromised advertisements and fake online virus scanners. It uses aggressive techniques to make it difficult to remove the rogue program and related malware. The rogue program disables Task Manager and other system utilities so that you cannot end the processes associated with this fake security program. It terminates trusted antivirus software and legit malware removal tools to protect itself from being removed. Once installed, Windows Personal Detective automatically scans your computer for malware and displays a list of non-existent infections and security threats. If you attempt to remove any of these infections, though, it will state that you first need to purchase the program to do so. Please do not purchase this rogue program because it’s a scam. Use the removal instructions below to remove Windows Personal Detective from your computer using recommended automatic removal tool.

When running, Windows Personal Detective will display many fake security alerts about critical infections on your computer. Some of the fake security alerts read:

Error
Keylogger activity detected. System information security is at risk.
It is recommended to activate protection and run a full system scan.

Error
Software without a digital signature detected.
Your system files are at risk. We strongly advise you to activate your protection.

As you can see, Windows Personal Detective is nothing more but a scam. Do not purchase it, and if you have, please contact your credit card company and dispute the charges. To remove Windows Personal Detective from your computer, use the removal guide below. We strongly recommend you to use Spyware Doctor or other anti-spyware program to remove all infections from your computer. If you can’t run our removal tool in normal mode then try rebooting your computer in safe mode with networking and run the removal tool once again.
